Sugarcane and vegetable farm on Kruger National Park
A highly productive farm with approximately 600 metre of river frontage overlooking the Kruger National Park. Sugarcane and vegetable are intercropped, irrigated by centre pivot, solid set, dragline, semi-permanent and drip systems. The farm has a water allocation for one hundred and fifty-eight hectares (2 061 280 m³ per annum) and is situated twenty kilometres from the Malalane sugar mill. Three hectares are under shade cloth with a fertigation system with a capacity for ten hectares. Included is a fully equipped packhouse with two cold rooms with a capacity for 60 pallets.Summer temperatures vary between 25°C and 35°C and winter temperatures vary between 5°C and 20°C. The average annual rainfall is in the region of 550 mm. The farm is frost free.
