This was awarded to Savage and Dodd Architects. The award recognises the work done in the recycling and upgrading of buildings in the Pietersen Street area of Hillbrow.
This is the culmination of eight years of work with the involvement of a team including private individuals and departments of the City of Joburg, in particular the Johannesburg Housing Company, Makhulong, Josie Adler, Brendan Smith, the project manager, and the Joburg Development Agency.
