Clifton flat sold for R25m - cash
The last developer-held unit has been sold at Eventide, the luxury apartment building above Moses Beach, Clifton, designed by Stefan Antoni Ohlmesdahl Truen in consultation with Dennis Fabian Berman.
The apartment was sold by Pam Golding Properties for R25 million to a UK cash buyer, who plans to use it for holiday accommodation.
PGP's area manager for the Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl, Basil Moraitis, was the agent who concluded the sale. He says the four-bedroomed apartment was the last to become available for sale in the landmark building, which was completed in 2006.
"Eventide has 32 units, but the developer retained ownership of a select few, and this was the last of those units to be released for public sale. The striking features of this 419 m2 apartment were its wide sea-frontage, exceptionally large entertainment area, wine cellar and gym with sauna."
PGP's MD for the Western Cape metro region, Laurie Wener, says Eventide's attractions include a permanent concierge, generous parking facilities and high levels of security.
"It is also the last block in Clifton to have access to all the beaches, all year round. This was also the final opportunity for a brand new building on the beach in Clifton, as there is no longer any land left available for development on the beachfront."
