Cape Town commuter survey on the cards
Cape Town is to conduct a survey of 26 000 households to assess the needs of commuters, to develop one network for rail, taxis and buses.
With one payment method and timing schedule the network should connect the modes seamlessly.
"The survey forms part of this administration's commitment to building an inclusive city, and one that responds directly to the needs of communities around Cape Town," said Brett Herron, mayco member for transport, roads and stormwater.
The surveyors are from two survey companies appointed by the city and will each carry a name tag and an official City of Cape Town appointment letter. If residents wish to verify the legitimacy of a surveyor they can contact the Transport Information Centre on 0800 65 64 63.
