Bishopcourt luxury property drops price by R20 million

The owners of a property for sale in Bishopscourt has dropped its asking price by R20 million. They are now asking R80 million for it, says Seeff agent, Ingrid McFarlane.

Based on the most recent land sale in the area (14,820sqm for R54 million) the land alone should be worth R43.2 million, says McFarlane.

The estate comprises of landscaped gardens, a tennis court and pavilion, swimming pool, water features and rock pools as well as a separate residence for an estate manager and an accommodation wing for a butler and household staff.

The home has several lounges and dining rooms, a bar room, billiard room, cinema room, media/music room, gymnasium and a large kitchen suited to large-scale catering. There is also a library, a study, a cigar lounge and climate controlled wine cellar with its own tasting/dining room.

The property is located next to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and has a 10-car garage with a separate wash bay .

McFarlane says the property is ideally suited to a corporate head office, ambassadorial or government residence or luxurious private estate.
